PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER
Ms. Tusa provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to adolescents and adults. Her approach is conservative and evidence-based and she stays current with the latest developments in psychiatry and neuroscience. Research indicates that the best treatment response occurs when medication is combined with therapy, and as a nurse practitioner, she is very comfortable with, and believes strongly in, a multidisciplinary approach.
Ms. Tusa received a BSN from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and worked as an RN in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital on the co-occurring, schizophrenia, chronic pain, geriatric psychiatry and neuropsychiatry services.
She also received a post-master's certificate in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care from The Catholic University of America and a graduate certificate in Medical Neuroscience from Michigan State University.

Sarah Malatesta, PMHNP-BC
Sarah Malatesta is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a holistic approach to mental health, understanding that true wellbeing encompasses both physical and emotional health. Sarah graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Maryland and completed a post-master’s certificate at Maryville University. She provides both psychopharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions tailored to each individual's unique needs.
With experience in child psychiatry, pediatric neurology and neuropsychiatry, and adult addiction treatment, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. She believes that a multidisciplinary approach grounded in evidence and current research, combined with individualized treatment plans, leads to the most positive outcomes. Sarah’s philosophy centers on the belief that each person has the power to overcome obstacles and take control of their lives, and she is committed to supporting clients in their journey to wellness.
